 | RED MILLS 14% Equine Copper Top-Up Cubes is specifically formulated to boost the copper intake and status of all horses requiring additional copper in their daily diets for a supervised feeding period. This feed is particularly recommended for horses coming back into training from grass, for foals and yearlings, also mares where veterinary advice recommends increasing copper intake. The formula or recipe is identical to RED MILLS 14% Racehorse Cubes with the addition of extra copper, also biotin and zinc to enhance hoof health. An excellent feed for racehorses or young stock before heavy prep-work commences.
Protein 14%, Oil 4%, Fibre 9%, Ash 8% Moisture (max.) 15%, Copper (as Copper Sulphate) 155mg/kg, Vit A 15,000 i.u./kg, Vit D3 2,000 i.u./kg, Vit E 200 i.u./kg. Rates of Feeding:
Racehorses returning to training: 3-4 lbs (1.5 -1.75kg per day) with 6-7 lbs (2.75 - 3.1kg) 14% Racehorse Cubes for 2-4 weeks.
Maximum feeding rate for this product is 3-4 lbs (1.5 -1.75kg per day) i.e. 1 bowl/scoop. For up to 4 weeks. As a feeding rate of 14% Racehorse Cubes increase with work rate, the requirement for 14% Equine Copper Top-Up Cubes decreases.
Broodmares: If feeding 1.5-2.0kg per day then this feed is suitable for up to 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, Red mills 14% Stud Cubes/Cooked Mix or 16% Broodmare Booster Cooked Mix is recommended. When feeding 2.0-3.0kg per day, 16% Broodmare Booster Cooked Mix is ideal as the sole concentrate. For higher feeding rates (i.e. above 3kg per day) then Red Mills 14% Stud Cubes / Horse Cooked Mix should be offered.
Foals/Yearlings: 1.0-1.75 kg per day maximum (1 bowl/scoop) for up to 4 weeks. For higher feeding levels Red Mills 20% Foal Pellets / 18% Foal/Yearling Cooked Mix are recommended. |
